HASiL Update - HASiL Launches Online e-Rayuan Service for Withholding Tax via MyTax Portal
The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (HASiL) has introduced an online e-Rayuan (appeal) service for Withholding Tax (Cukai Pegangan) through the MyTax portal.
Through this system, taxpayers can now submit appeals, applications, and inquiries more easily online, replacing the previous manual Customer Feedback Form.
The service covers matters such as:
- Payment adjustments
- Penalty/charge waivers
- Exemptions
- Refund requests
- General withholding tax inquiries
Users can also check the status of their applications at any time, improving transparency and convenience. The service is accessible via different user roles, including individuals, company directors, or appointed representatives.
Overall, this initiative supports HASiLs goal of digitalising tax services, reducing manual processes, and improving efficiency and taxpayer experience.
